Award Winning Early Childhood Music and Movement classes in Bakersfield
Each week in Music Together® Mixed-Age Classes at Yellow House Music Together, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place!
You’ll take home the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development—even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer.
Upcoming Music Together® Classes
Our 10-week Mixed-Age Winter session will begin on January 5th, and pre-registration opens on 10/10 for all currently enrolled families! Open enrollment begins on 10/27. Our classes are held in our wonderful classroom location near the Valley Plaza Mall. Our popular Generations class will continue at Solstice Senior Living Center for our fun and festive 3-week Mini-Berry Holiday Sing Along in December, as well as our Winter session beginning in January 2026! We have AM and PM classes to fit everyone's schedule.

Join us for a very special Music Together ® Mini Berry® Holiday Sing Along!!

❄️Children, ages 0-5 with their caregivers.
❄️$90 first child, $25 siblings. Babies under 8m free with enrolled sibling. Children 6 & older free with registered sibling.
❄️3 Classes + Materials.
The "Mini Berry" Song Collection is a compilation of 13 favorite Music Together songs, developed only for short sessions. Families will receive a Mini Berry song booklet with a download code for listening to the music at home, and a special DIY Christmas ornament. Along with our beloved Music Together songs, we’ll dance to Frosty the Snowman, march like the Little Drummer Boy, belt out Jingle Bells, play with indoor snowballs, and more!

Join the winter session and play, sing, laugh and learn with families in your community.
You’ll love the Sticks Song Collection!
Your child will love going for a musical ride with “Ridin’ in the Car” and “Trot to Grandma’s House” this semester. We’ll dance with “Don Alfredo baila,” march and scamper with “The Tailor and the Mouse,” and go “Pop!” with that good ol’ classic weasel! With 23 songs and chants (plus the Hello Song and Goodbye, So Long, Farewell, of course!), you’ll have lots of new songs and chants to keep the music going all winter long! Tuition includes a digital download of our Sticks Collection recording (CD optional), a beautiful, child-centric songbook, full of colorful illustrations for each song as well as informative tidbits for grownups. You’ll also have access to online resources, such as downloadable songs, bonus activities, music notation, and more!

January 7 - March 11
Sing, Dance and Drum Along with Us!
The Elephant Rhythm features triple-meter drumming patterns inspired by the traditional social dance from Mali known as Suku. We’ll enjoy dramatic play in “Elephant Stampede,” and choreographed dancing and drumming in “Music Everywhere.” We’ll also learn a Gaelic children’s song called “Dilín ó Deamhas” and, of course, have a blast doing “The Elephant Dance”! All the songs in this collection have been chosen and arranged specifically to support each student’s music development. Take home materials included in your tuition, with a brand-new, beautiful curriculum! Drums provided for in-class use.
